THURSDAY

  • kick off the weekend with a fun social shakeout run with friends from trailfest.!

    demo Salomon’s new shoes and following the group run enjoy a fresh cup of the best locally roasted coffee from our friends at BVC

    we will start from the Black Velvet in village plaza and jog out/back along the final few miles of the 26K/50K course - distance is self selected

  • have you seen the course profiles? come try the poles courtney, sally, tim, and many runners have loved for years! free demo's and instruction on using poles

  • tune into the livestream broadcast as Dylan and company prognosticate and provide commentary for the weekend of racing

  • bib pickup will be located at mammoth trailfest. tent in the Wood Chip Lounge next to Canyon Blvd (under the gondola building - not Main lodge gondola)

  • Miles Beyond Remission (15 min)

    Follow Jonathan Acott through his journey of overcoming cancer 6 times and persevering after each battle. This marathon journey, "Six Cancers, Seven Continents," was born from his desire to travel, see the world, and have adventures, "It was one of those why not do that?" moments that led to something truly extraordinary.     A Team Sport (15 min)

    his is the story of Courtney Dauwalter's extraordinary summer of 2023, where she set out to test the limits of the human body and mind. As the first person ever to attempt the "Triple Crown" of ultra running, she took on the Western States 100, Hardrock 100, and UTMB in the same season. Watch "A Team Sport" to witness how Courtney is redefining the boundaries of trail running and inspiring a new generation of athletes. Join us in celebrating her historic summer and the spirit of perseverance and determination

  • Founder of Ballet Folklorico de las Flores

    Sofia was born in Ixtlahuacan Del Rio, Jalisco, Mexico, and in 1996, she moved with her parents and 7 siblings to Mammoth Lakes, California. She began dancing ballet folklorico at the young age of 5. She offers no cost dance lessons to adults and kids so she can share the beauty of her culture

    Sofia is an ultrarunner that enjoys the trails with her dogs. She ran her first trail marathon in 2016 and was immediately drawn to the energy that the racing community offered. Movement is important in her healing, and she feels blessed to be able to do all types of activities in the Eastern Sierra

  • Dani Moreno is a professional trail runner for Adidas Terrex and co-host, with Emkay Sullivan, of the sub-hub podcast. The podcast aims to bring more participation to the sub-ultra distances as well as highlight races, series, and athletes from a global perspective. Dani was third at Mont Blanc Marathon and OCC in 2022, and 5th overall in the Golden trail World Series in 2021

  • Dylan is the Leader and Co-Founder of Freetrail. A lifelong fan of sports media and a longtime professional trail runner, Dylan married those passions with Freetrail in an effort to elevate the content and conversation in the world’s fastest growing outdoor sport. In addition to leading the business and the team, Dylan is also the host of the Freetrail Podcast

    2.75 miles with 2,400 ft vertical gain, straight up

    technical trail at high altitude, proper preparation and caution advised

    we have dedicated medical staff, patrol, and volunteers along courseGrab a complimentary cowbell or cap and cheer for our runners as they look to summit Mammoth Mountain before cruising back into the Village several hours later

  • Interested in public lands? Do you know what a sugar pine looks like? Do you like happy hour? Have you ever seen a Tule Elk?? We’ll be hosting a special “Public Lands” style Trivia happy hour hosted by the one and only Bryant the Shrublander!

    Event is free, but a recommended donation of $5-$10 per person goes directly towards supporting Runners for Public Lands, a local california-based non-profit, whose mission is to build inclusive running communities dedicated to protecting the environment

    Join us for a night of trivia, learning about public lands, and supporting a good cause! Bring a team or join a table! We’ll also have a raffle with rad prizes and RPL goodies

  • Jen was born in Bishop, California and raised in Mammoth Lakes, California. She developed a love for athletics through swimming, running, playing soccer, cross-country skiing, and alpine skiing with her older sister, and she came to appreciate the combined art and science of rehabilitation through her parents who both worked as physical therapists in their own private practice. As a Pocock DII All-American rower at UC San Diego, Jen further developed her passion for sports, health, and injury prevention, and this propelled her into her pursuit of a career in physical therapy

    After living and working as a physical therapist in the Northwest following graduate school, Jen returned to the Eastern Sierras where she married her husband Mike. Jen and Mike enjoy recreating in the mountains and being part of the small, close communities of Bishop and Mammoth

  • Katie Asmuth is a pro ultrarunner for Saucony, a mom of 5yo and 7yo boys, and a Nurse Practitioner that has an ever-present desire to adventure and explore wild places on foot. She gets endless inspiration by the ridgelines and peaks in her backyard in Mammoth Lakes. She is pumped to share these local trails with you!

  • Nicole Ver Kuilen is a disabled endurance athlete and advocate. She founded the nonprofit, Forrest Stump, after facing insurance denials for nearly two decades, completing a 1,500 mile triathlon on a prosthesis built only for walking. Her innovative advocacy and awareness campaigns have sparked national change, laying the foundation for her current role leading So Every BODY Can Move. When she's not fighting discriminatory healthcare policies or igniting a disability revolution, you can find her running. Mammoth Trailfest will be her first ever trail race!

  • each evening our friends at The Village will arrange seating for roughly 50 people in Adirondack chairs and bench seating around the fire pit to enjoy the talks and films. There is ample room for standing and we encourage you to please bring your own chair if possible

  • With fall approaching there is a noticeable decrease in temperatures and we recommend you make use of your puffy coat, warm jacket, or blankets for each evening in the Village - perhaps snag one of the spots around the fire pit :)

    expected nighttime lows will be in the mid to high 30’s, and day time highs in the low 60’s

  • Best Day Brewing will be on site and cans available to all runners post race

    Numerous restaurants and bars throughout the Village open for dining options

  • special thanks to MMSA for the subsidized rate for our event and keeping the gondola spinning an extra week just for us. access to Summit and McCoy aid station is possible through purchased gondola ticket or hiking along designated Mammoth Mountain Trail and Dragon’s Back Trail
