we believe everyone should have the space to experience the transformative power of trail running and with the splendor of California’s Eastern Sierra - home to Mammoth Lakes - travel across the pond to experience an inclusive large-scale European-style trail event on breathtaking terrain is not necessary. from world-class trail races and community focused events, to free live entertainment, storytelling, and great local food, mammoth trailfest. is a multi-day experience designed to increase access to trail and ultrarunning through opportunity, education, and trail stewardship. it is an event built by our community, for our community, right in the heart of California

home to just 8,000 permanent residents, Mammoth is a small ski town tucked high along the eastern flanks of California’s Sierra Nevada mountain range and surrounded by numerous Wilderness areas, National Forest land, and beneath 14,000ft peaks. this area is just north of Payahuunadü -Land of the Flowing Water- which has been cared for by Nüümü since time immemorial. it is a place you have to experience to still not fully believe exists. the jagged mountains breach straight up from the valley floor and tower over everything in sight including endless world-class singletrack trails. the enchantment and beauty of the Eastern Sierra often lure people in and they never leave. as visitors on this land we have a responsibility to be good stewards to the trails and mammoth trailfest. aims to educate our growing community on the importance of sustainable use and provide opportunities to give back to the area that grants us revelatory experiences
